Goddess in Bliss

drawing_goddess.jpgIn a state of beingness, we feel our bliss. When we are present to this experience, we have the opportunity to heal and grow. When I paint, I often feel blissful, and other times I feel my growing edge as I move with it. As I trust the process, I experience a new way of being, and my drawing or painting has an opportunity to grow beyond what I ever imagined.

Snake Medicine

coiled_snake.jpgAs the summer is upon us, our allies of the snake family are out enjoying the sun. Snakes are very nurturing and protective of their space. They love lying on rocks in the sun, and carry a powerful vibration of the Earth. Snakes are a great reflection to move slower during this time, while listening and being mindful of how we are in relationship with everyone and everything.

The Tree Experience

tree.jpgOne beautiful spring day, I sat with one of the most amazing trees, I've ever met. I have spent many powerful moments with the "Baba Tree". On this particular day, I had the most spontaneous artist journey. I experienced  my sense of seeing opening in a whole new way. I first experienced a powerful vision of light and movement. I then could feel the movement and change within and around me, as the tree invited me to share a multi-dimensional experience. In bliss and being quite present, I began to paint a "larger than life" painting,  a painting created with pure energy. There was no paint, no drawing tools; it was the most freedom I've ever felt as an artist.

The next morning as I brought out my pencils, they started to dance across the paper embodying the very movement and energy that I  had experienced the day before. I was in awe of the intensity that came through me, filled with such ease and grace, as this image opened before my eyes.
