One....Beautiful..... Breathing..... Living..... Mandala
ALI-SUN TREES
Mandalas are traditionally referred to as a "sacred circle". Mandalas represent wholeness and can be seen as a model for how we can be in relationship with the world. A mandala is ever growing and changing. I have witnessed through drawing and painting mandalas as well as by gathering in a circle with others, the healing power and unity within the experiences. Yesterday, I truly experienced the true essence of the beauty of a mandala. I experienced the mandala, "sacred circle" as having no beginning or end...I experienced it as being infinite. Mandalas are all around us in nature, as well as within us. They are at the beaches, the forests, the cities, in our own homes and inside our very being. For we are each a living and breathing mandala.
Mandalas carry a vibration; whether it's a painting, a drawing in the sand, a gathering of people, there is energy. These experiences send a vibration out to the world. I am seeing that these experiences are necessary for the healing of the planet. There are many circles that are gathering around the world, in fact this has been happening since the beginning of time. It is our very nature to gather, to share and grow as one. As we continue to create and connect our living mandalas, all around the world, we have the opportunity to create a new and brighter vibration on the planet. As each circle shares it's own unique voice and frequency, we have the opportunity to re-harmonize and come into Unity as a One Family Planet experience.

Earlier today, I hit my head on a Sycamore Branch. It hurt..It slowed me down...I listened to what this medicine was about for me. As I hit my head, I was thinking about a future thought. I was feeling the need to get back to work...to "work' on a painting. See, I am easily distracted by playing and being outdoors; it is my nature to be outdoors with the trees and animals.
I started to work on a project, actually it was office work I chose to do, when my headache started buzzing. I was choosing not to merge with the headache, although I finally realized, that it was ok to just lie down. That didn't last too long, until I got drawn outdoors again from my doggie pals. A few moments later, I found myself lying under the sycamore tree that made contact with me earlier that day.
As I sat with the Sycamore Tree, I tuned into the experience of being with the tree, the land, the doggies, realizing that this is what I needed to be doing. My play is my work. This is how I work. Lucky me! I felt into the co-creative nature of this opportunity and off the doggies and I went to roam around the land, connecting with the trees and plants, and other interesting creatures. As I made my way back to the house, the Pepper Tree called to me, as it often does. So, I sat with this beautiful tree and listened. The tree reflected to me and held space for me to shift my awareness and truly feel who I am becoming in the world. Just by simply being who I am, and choosing to be in the world while sharing with others, work becomes an experience that is filled with fun and play.

Two days ago, we had a visitor. A beautiful, 4 foot King Snake...found in the bedroom! Here, I'll back up to the day before. I was feeling into my next painting...I had sensed snake energy all around my field the last couple of days. It was very powerful. I saw a beautiful melody of earth tones, in my vision. Later that day, as I started to paint, I opened to the experience of what I had seen the day before. A beautiful snake appeared, quite a vibrant one, with lots of movement and energy, dancing freely upon the canvas. The painting opened rather quickly as I felt Intuitively guided to choose the earth tone colors that I saw in my vision. During a break, I was guided to place the painting in the bushes, to energize it, connecting it with the earth. That felt important at the time.
So, back to discovering the snake. I witnessed, from the art studio some commotion, in the other room. It was my beloved, discovering the snake, 4 inches away from stepping on it. I had to come see it! it was a strange feeling to have a snakes presence in the house, let alone the bedroom. I'm glad we didn't find it, when we were sleeping. I was so taken by the snakes powerful nature. I draw snakes, once in a while, and have come across a few, especially living in Ojai. What was so amazing, was how we could feel the snakes energy long after the snake was outdoors. My body pulsated and buzzed all night long. I could deeply feel its medicine. We both could. I was truly grateful for the gift of receiving this snake medicine. It came at such a powerful time, for I was moving through a transition, and this experience was the perfect catalyst for the shift that needed to be made in my life.

I received a gift from nature. I visited a sacred piece of land where I could feel the belly of the earth. I spotted a fairy den from a cliff where a few of us kindred spirits were enjoying the views and surroundings. Below, was a patch of oak trees that appeared to be coming out of the sides of the earth, in a creekbed. We decided to make our descent down. I felt drawn to connecting with a tree that was cascaded over the dry creek bed creating a womb-like feeling- much like a kiva experience or sweatlodge-
The beauty of this sacred place is that it is an untouched gem, where the heartbeat of the earth feels healthy, vibrant and in it's natural state. As I melted into the experience of its presence, I could feel and see an ancient culture here. I could also see the future. I felt peaceful here, supported by nature and could feel who I am, in my power. As I felt my whole being relax, I accepted the invitation to come into unity with the land. In bliss and presence with the experience, I made an agreement that I would help others reconnect with the Earth in a very wild and creative way.
